FundWatch Zambia (“FundWatch”, “the App”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is a national digital intelligence platform for monitoring development funds, infrastructure projects, procurement systems, and public sector analytics in Zambia. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data, and your rights under applicable laws including the Zambian Data Protection Act No. 3 of 2021 and, where applicable, the EU GDPR.

This policy applies to all users of FundWatch including government staff, auditors, administrators, contractors, and authorised officials. It also covers any data uploaded into the system.
We may collect account information such as name, email, phone number, role, and organisation affiliation. We also process project and operational data such as contractor records, project reports, financial tracking data, audit logs, and analytics generated from system usage.
Technical data such as device type, IP address, app version, crash logs, and performance analytics may also be collected to improve system reliability.
We use data to operate the platform, manage access control, generate reports and dashboards, improve system performance, and support governance and oversight functions. We also process data to comply with legal obligations or official government requests where applicable.
We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared with authorised government departments, oversight bodies, and approved service providers that help operate the system such as cloud infrastructure providers and analytics tools. All third parties are required to protect data and only process it under our instructions.
Data may be stored on secure cloud servers, which may be located outside Zambia. Where this occurs, we apply appropriate safeguards to protect personal data.
We retain data only as long as necessary for operational, legal, or regulatory purposes. Data may be deleted or anonymised when no longer required.
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption, secure cloud infrastructure, access controls, and audit logging. However, no system is completely secure and we continuously work to improve protections.
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your personal data. You may also object to certain processing activities.
